JESUS Christ, the greatest Teacher of all time, who understands all mysteries and principles of life unveils yet another powerful truth about what you choose to hear or listen to. Our focal text is both a warning and strong admonition from the Master. What you hear is vital to your progress or failure. For instance, knowledge is built upon what you hear. Faith even comes by constantly hearing the word of God (Rom 10:17). Fear also comes through the same channel. What you choose to hear can change your life for the best or worst.
WHAT you hear can inform you to build up or deform you. *Jesus wants us to be selective of what we hear or listen to.* In other words, as a child of God, you don’t need to hear and listen to everything that comes your way. You do this by taking heed to what you hear. “Take heed” is from the Greek word “blepo”, which means to pay attention, or be careful, perceive, discern mentally or observe carefully.In other words, it means to turn on or direct your mind to a thing carefully in order to choose the best.
CHERISHED one, pay attention to what you hear. If what you hear is negative and you believe it, it will produce negative results in your life. In the same vein, whatever positive thing you hear, believe and apply will bring positive results. Stop listening to the people or voices which tell you “you can’t make it, so give up” and heed to the voices of godliness and motivation.This also includes your song gallery. Choose to listen to songs that help inspire something great, positive and better in you. The rich grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.
PRAYER
Father of all true wisdom, I thank You for teaching me how to live a successful life by taking heed to what I hear or listen to. I choose to hear the word of God which inspire faith, life and success in my thoughts and character. I choose to hear words that will build me up for glorious success in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ. Amen!
