Apostle James is addressing a profound truth with the verse above. He tells us the Source of all good gifts. In other words, every good and perfect gift originates from above. Since God is good and perfect, that nature of Him envelopes the gifts He gives. Yea, God does not trade in synthetic goods and fake deals.

Since God is not the author of sin, He couldn’t be the author of its results. Sickness, sorrows, death, poverty, curses, failure are the results of sin. Now, every gift has a receiver is mind. The receivers are God’s children, also known as “lights”. The “lights” refers to all those who have believed in Jesus Christ. For we are called children of light (1 Thes 5:5).

So our God is the Father of lights, not darkness or sickness or poverty. Beloved, we are in the end time and it’s time for the children of light to enjoy the goodness of God. You are gifted by the Father of lights, use that gift to bring glory and illumination to many lives. Be conscious and live as a greater light that light up many unto God’s glory. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.

PRAYER
Father of lights, I thank You for insight into Your Word. You have made me the light of the world to bring solutions to the world problems through Jesus. Thank You for the gifts, talents, abilities, skills and potentials. I use them to glorify You all my days in Jesus’ Name.
