24/7 DOXA Content, 22nd December-CONSCIOUSLY WALK IN HIM

FOCAL TEXT: Colossians 2 vs 6 ►► “As you, therefore, have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him”~》NKJV》____________________________________
BLESSED greetings, Cherished one. Today, our focal says since we have received Christ so should we walk in Him. Thus, after receiving and believing in Christ, there is a life (walk ) in Him. In other words, our Christian life does not end in receiving Christ, it continues to a glorious walk in Him. This is very important because Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith, not the author and “quitter” of it. There is more in Christ than only receiving Him.
This walk is lived consciously in the revelation of the Christ. It will not happen automatically. It is making up your mind to walk in Christ. “To Walk” as seen in our focal text is from the Greek word “peripateō”. And it means “to make progress in one’s way or to make due use of opportunities” in Christ. It also means to consciously regulate or conduct one’s life in Christ. So walking in Christ requires a continuous living and ordering of your life (words, thoughts, deeds) after receiving Him.
It implies living dependent on Him. It denotes a continuous consistent lifestyle based or established in Christ Jesus. You have to be intentional about this. Do not believe in Christ and later walk in your own ways. That is not Christianity. When you walk in Him, you will enjoy the good treasures in Him. Beloved, have you received Christ? Then make that effort to pattern your life in Him by the help of His Holy Spirit. The rich grace of our Lord Jesus Christ abounds towards you always.

PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank You for inspiring in me the energy to walk in Christ as the author and finisher of my faith. I refuse to live in my own ways. I humbly submit to pattern and live dependently on Jesus Christ all my life. Hallelujah!
