ON the road to greatness, some people wish to be there. Others just dream to arrive. However, there are some people who know the way to get there and deliberately walk that path. People who mostly wish or just dream and do nothing about their dreams fall within the category of the lazy.The lazy person is one who is slothful in business or labour. He is lazy in mind which reflects in his hands. He doesn’t have or try to find the work of his hands or mind. Such folks have wrong attitudes towards work.
Our focal text says a lazy person doesn’t roast what he took in hunting. In other words, he is so lazy to the extent that he always depend on what others give him instead of fighting for his. And the game that the hunters give him, he feels reluctant to roast it. Another description of the lazy person is deceitfulness. Most lazy folks are deceitful in that they always seek easy or quick ways to get or have things. There is no glorious future for a lazy person. On the contrary, there is a diligent man who utilizes both his mind and hands unto productivity.
A diligent man is smart- minded; He is faithful, intelligent and determined. He is consistent and persistent to achieve something worthwhile in life. Diligent folks make MOVES in order to make waves. They are insightful and take advantage of existing good and challenging opportunities or even create new ones. They always seek for possible means to gloriously succeed. Our focal text says diligence is a man’s precious possession. Diligence will distinct you from the crowd. Cherished one, choose to be diligent; for it will bring many treasures into your life. The rich grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.
PRAYER
_Diligent Father, I thank You for this precious day. I graciously choose to be diligent in all I do. I shun any form of laziness that’s against my advancement. I ask and receive in greater capacity the ability to live a diligent life for Your glory in Jesus Name Mighty Name. Amen !_
