FAVOURED greetings, Cherished one. One revelation that makes our Christian life so delightful despite the pressures in this world is that Jesus never left us in the shadows. He never left us as sheep without a shepherd. In dealing with the matters of life, Jesus taught us how to rightly succeed, prosper and dominate the devil, sin and ungodly circumstances. Therefore, He left us the best example to follow in order to achieve the same results He got.

I strongly believe when we use Jesus’ methods and strategies, we would get His kind of results. Our focal text admonishes us to submit to God and RESIST the devil to scamper. Resisting the devil is your duty, not God’s duty. The devil is aware that you have been given the authority to resist him. Therefore, be disciplined and do that. The other part tells us what will happen when you resist the devil in faith standing on God’s word. It says that He will flee.

To flee or scamper means to run away or escape in an undignified manner. During Jesus’ earthly ministry, He commanded the devil to leave Him alone and the next verse says “Then the devil left Him…” (Matthew 4:11). Beloved, God knows the devil’s weaknesses; therefore, agree with God and resist him. Though he is a stubborn devil, He cannot resist anyone who resists him in the Name of Jesus Christ. The rich grace of our Lord Jesus Christ abounds towards you always.

PRAYER
Blessed Father, I thank You for given me the power and confidence to dominate my world including the enemy of all progress and righteousness, the devil. I stand in the matchless Name of Jesus Christ to resist the devil and all his deceptions and plots against my life. I put him to flight by the authority Christ vested in me. Amen !_
