THE holy scriptures unveil that we are in the perilous times. And these times are characterised by a lot of challenges; from moral decadence to no zeal for the things of the Spirit. Many on daily basis grow without any hope for a better future or tomorrow. *However, those who know their God shall be strong and do exploits. The wicked and the righteous should not suffer the same destiny.* To the righteous, things are designed to grow better and not worse. Hallelujah!
And even if you’re going through any difficult moment in life, our focal text brings a great admonishment why you must keep on holding to God in hope. And the reason is being joined to the living. If you are alive today, you can rely on hope. Hope is confident assurance or trust for a better situation. *The living has an earthly advantage over the dead in terms of life.* For whoever is joined to the living, there is hope. Rely on this and dominate anything that brings you hopelessness.
Being alive today is a sure sign that you’ll have opportunities. *Yes, it a sign that you have a second chance to make a godly decision for positive change.* Also, it’s an echoing voice that you have a purpose to fulfill. A living dog is better than a dead lion. Thus, no matter how great and kingly the lion is to the jungle, its death “shuts down” its significance; and a living dog has something to boast of and offer. Yes, a living dog can bark and serve its purpose as a pet or security to the owner. Beloved, there is hope for the living. Keep your hope alive in God. And He will cause you to fulfill a glorious destiny. The rich grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.
PRAYER
_Precious Father of hope, I thank You so much for the gift of life. I am alive today for Your glory. By Your gracious word, my hope is kept alive in You for more glorious moments. My days are lived in the opportunities and doors You allow my way. I graciously maximise the life I have in a lively hope for a glorious future in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen !_
