GRACIOUS greetings, Cherished one. The world today is made of different messengers. A messenger is like a vehicle which disseminates information that can either influence or manipulate the receiver. Every messenger comes with a message in the form of ideas, opinions, documentaries, theories etc. *A lot of messengers are now found on today’s internet through the social media.* The internet has made the world a “global village.”
Different smart devices have been designed to access the internet. Network platforms have been designed to connect people of all walks of life. Recent ‘’Research shows that 61% of people check their phones within five minutes of waking up. Some even check them while still in bed! Within 30 minutes, that number jumps to 88%—and all but 4% of people have checked their phones within 30 minutes of waking. Statistically, you’ve probably found yourself doing that, too.’’ The fact is the moment you do that, you either hear or see a post, idea, opinion, video or articles from different calibre of people.
Beloved, remember, your phone is not just a device, it is a method. It is a strategy that companies, entertainers and people communicate to you. So it matters the kind of people you follow and posts you read on social media. Don’t start your morning or day reading posts from secular carnal unspiritual minds. Start your day by talking to God through prayer. The mind is always fresh in the morning. So fill it with the thoughts or word of God which has the power to build you up in all areas of your life.( Acts v20:32) Influence social media, don’t allow it to influence you negatively. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ abounds towards you always.
PRAYER-
Precious Father, I thank You for making me the light of the world and the salt of the earth. I am a messenger of good news. I refresh my master. I graciously choose to influence my world through social media. I refuse to be influenced negatively by it in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen !_
