GRACEFUL greetings, Cherished one. It is an established truth from the Holy scriptures that believing in Jesus Christ makes you possess eternal life, the God kind of life. Another effect of believing in Jesus is that there will be a great change in your life. Thus, believing in Jesus changes your value system. It changes who or what you value in life. If spiritual things seemed irrelevant to you at first it becomes so relevant to you. And you begin to lose taste or appetite for ungodly stuff.
There is a popular song that says “great change since I met God, there is a great change since I met Christ”. This is never far from the truth. When you receive the life of God, it brings a great transformation within you which will affect your entire lifestyle as you yield to God’s word and life in the Spirit. For instance, the lifestyle of Apostle Paul changed when He had an encounter with Jesus Christ. His value systems changed, it never remained the same. He never valued or respected the Church of Christ in that era, but he came to respect and honour her after He had a personal encounter with Jesus Christ. According to our focal text, Barnabas even testified of his new found life in Christ that made other disciples welcome and accept him.
When you believe in Jesus Christ, you have a new Lord, new King and new Kingdom and new lifestyle. Beloved, your belief in Jesus will bring you into a certain godly lifestyle that you did not have or love at first. Like Apostle Paul, he started loving the work of God and the people of God after encountering Jesus. There was a great transformation in him which manifested on the outside. As you keep on believing in Christ and walk in Him, He will live His glorious life through you. And many will see you and give glory to your Saviour. The rich grace of our Lord Jesus Christ abounds towards you always.
PRAYER
Dear Gracious Father, I thank You for the great transformation that believing in Your Son brings into my life. I graciously stay connected and keep on manifesting Your life which is at work in me. My life is patterned after the One whom I have believed in Jesus Blessed Name. !
