LOVELY greetings, Cherished one. As a believer, asking the right questions with the mindset of acting nobly is not wrong. For instance, what do we mean when we say “Christianity is not a religion”. Your education says it is one of the fastest-growing religions. Yes, they use that for the lack of right words. To them, religion is man’s belief in a deity and rituals involved. So religions are man-made. That’s why anyone can stand up today and create his own religion. Two Latin words make up our English word “religion;” “re” and “ligio.” “Re” means to “go back,” and “ligio” means “to bind.” “Religion” then means “to bind back.” *Religions are man’s efforts to bind himself back to God. They are mostly fleshy or Satan-inspired.*

But take a careful look at our focal text, it says the Faithful God has called us into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. So Christianity is a high calling of God into the glorious fellowship of His Son. It is a relationship and fellowship with Jesus. Fellowship, as used here, is the Greek word “koinonia”, which implies “intimacy, partnership, participation, fellowship, sharing together and communion with” His Son. You did not call God, God called you (John 15:16). You did not love God, He first loved you and gave you His Son (1 John 4:10,19). Stop trying to let God accept and love you, God loved you afar off before you believed in His Son (John 3:16).

So God desires fellowship with His Son, not man’s ways or rituals. That is why Apostle Paul said “…In Him we live, and move, and have our being;” (Acts 17:28). Yes, a fellowship modeled in the life of Jesus, designed to influence our deeds, words, thoughts and lifestyle. Brethren, you are not called into man’s religion; rather you are called into fellowship with Jesus. Enjoy a fulfilling intimacy with Jesus in all you do. The rich grace of our Lord Jesus Christ abounds towards you always.

PRAYER
Faithful Father, I thank You for calling me into fellowship with Your Son and not religion. I graciously live, move and have my being in Him. Hallelujah !
