BLISSFUL greetings, Cherished one. Many people including preachers have chided or lambasted Joseph in the Old Testament for sharing his dreams with his own blood brothers. But this is a normal thing a child of his age would do. Every teenager who loved his family would have done the same. Sometimes telling your dreams to others will be the best means to achieve it. Sometimes telling others can jeopardize it. However, remember, every great dream will attract opposition, whether you share or not. In all, the secret is not about telling other people; But the KIND of people you share your dreams with.
Joseph who feared the Lord told his spiritual dreams to his brothers who were carnal. Apostle Paul explains who a carnal man is in 1 Corinthians 3:1 _”And I, brethren, could not speak to you as to spiritual people but as to carnal, as to babes in Christ.”_ The Greek word for carnal is “sarkikos” which implies someone who is unspiritual and ruled by his senses, not by the revelation of the truths in God’s word. He may be born again, but his senses are his master. He is mostly moved by what he sees, hears and feels. Their lifestyle may not resemble the character of Christ even though they believe in Him. The Apostle called such “babes in Christ.” Like Joseph’s brothers, most carnal people hate you and your big dreams. So be sober around such.
Do not tell your God-given dreams to carnal, sense-ruled, unspiritual people who do not have the word of God rooted in them. They can hurt you and thwart your dreams. Do you know that those who vehemently fought against the earthly ministry of Jesus Christ were carnal people with religious minds and big entitlements; some were called high priests, scribes, rabbis and the likes? (Matthew 26:3,4). All these carnal people also believed in God and confessed Abraham as their spiritual father (Matthew 3:9). Beloved, share your dreams with spiritual people who are WILLING and ready to help you in prayers and encourage you through the word and Spirit of God. The rich grace of our Lord Jesus Christ abounds towards you always.
PRAYER
My Precious Glorious Father, I thank You for the wisdom and soberness that Your word gives me daily. I stay alert and vigilant by the revelation through Your word and Spirit. I declare that my God-given dreams are protected from carnal and wicked people. Thank You for connecting me to people who will help make my dreams a reality in Jesus Blessed Name. Amen !_
