FRUITFUL greetings, Cherished one. Now, based on the authority of the Holy Scriptures, believing in Jesus Christ makes one saved. Therefore if anyone refuses to BELIEVE in Jesus, he cannot be saved. Henceforth, what happens to the one who believes? What does believing in Jesus does to the believer? Yes, something happens to the one who believes in Christ. One, the believer in Jesus Christ is given the right, privilege or power to BECOME a child of God as our focal text unveils. Until you believe you cannot become His child.
The Greek word for “become” is “ginomai”. And it means to come into being or existence. In other words, you “happen or come to pass”. So 2 Corinthians 5:17 says you become a new creature. Thus, you are born anew. You are born of God afresh. You are not refurbished, rather you become a new species who never existed before. And your newness is a birth from the will of Papa God not of the flesh or the will of man (John 1:13).
Have you believed in Christ Jesus? then you are a child of God, not a bastard. You are part of God’s family. It means you have a source. You have received the DNA of your Papa God. You are not just part of creation, you are His offspring. You can call God “Abba Father”. This is one of the effects of believing in Jesus. This is what happens to you when you believe. You become what God wants you to become, His beloved child. Therefore, live and pattern your lifestyle, thoughts, actions and words as one who is truly born of God. The rich grace of our Lord Jesus Christ abounds towards you always.
PRAYER
Glorious Father, I thank You for giving me the right, power and privilege to become Your beloved child. I am not a slave, but Your glorious child born with Your incorruptible seed. I graciously live and pattern my life as Your legal child and I influence my world positively in Jesus Blessed Name. Amen!_
