FAVOURED greetings, Cherished one. Television simply means to ‘’tell a vision’’. In today’s world, many people are telling their visions by engaging and promoting themselves on different platforms. Some of the visions are inspiring, motivational, educative and entertaining. *However, others too are telling their vision in a way that will affect your lifestyle and distort your godly lifestyle.* Such visions promote immoral lifestyles, insults, nudity, social vices, disrespect and rebellion to authority.
When you consciously buy into these visions, it is a form of communication which the Bible says can corrupt your good character (1 Corinthians 15:33). However, it is not enough to disallow their visions into your life. It is not enough to sit down and criticize. Rather, it is best to rise up and impact your world positively. _There is a popular saying that ‘’more evil prevails when good people do nothing good”._ Jesus did not come just to criticize the worldly system. He came to introduce His value systems against that of the world and today millions of people have become Disciples of Christ (John 10:10/ Matthew 28:18-20).
According to our focal text, Nehemiah told his people to rise up and build the broken walls of Jerusalem. It is time to rise up as true disciples of Christ and build and impact. Preach the gospel. Mend the broken hearts. Touch lives with your calling, gifts, talents, skills, career, assignment, social media account. Rise up and impact your world with what you have and know in Christ. That is what the early disciples did to impact their world. The rich grace of our Lord Jesus Christ abounds towards you always.
PRAYER-
Precious Father, I thank You that I am consumed by the zeal of Your Kingdom. As Your beloved child, I thank You for wisdom and equipping me to rise up and impact my world. I preach the gospel. I heal the sick. I mend the broken-hearted. I put a smile on the faces of people. I am a solution to the cry of many. So I am empowered to rise up and impact many in Jesus Blessed Name. Amen !_
