SHALOM greetings to you, Cherished one. We thank God for yet another glorious day. In life, it is very vital what you spend your time on. Some people spend all their quality time on ‘stuffs’ that will ruin their life instead of those that will bless them. Decision making then becomes very crucial in life. For instance, a student who refuses to study his academic materials is just preparing for failure. It is either you’re spending time doing the right things or your are spending time doing the wrongs things. Psalm 1:1 says a blessed man does not spend his time on ungodly counsel.
The blessed man chooses to DELIGHT in GOD’S WORD. To delight in the law of LORD means to ‘take pleasure’ in whatever He says to you. Thus, you ‘desire and long’ for His Word despite situations. Beloved, for the Word of God to take effective course in your life, you must take great pleasure in it. How do you treat or respond to God’s word? Do you consider it as a ritual or just a church sermon ? The Bible says in Hebrews 4:2b… ”but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.’ Unless you take great pleasure or delight in God’s Word, your faith can never come alive to profit you.*
Develop a personal ‘love affair’ for God’s Word. Treat it as the final authority over your life. Spend quality time to study it. Since the blessed man takes pleasure in God’s word, he goes on to meditate (utter, muse, speak, imagine) on it day and night. Folks who refuse to take pleasure in the Word choose to meditate on their problems and make them worse. But meditating on God’s word concerning any challenge unleash the peace and power of God over it. Is it about your health, marriage, business, finance, ministry etc? Get to the Word; Seek God’s idea about it. Take pleasure in God’s word and your life will be guaranteed for glorious success. The rich grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.
PRAYER
Faithful Father, Your Word is my glorious delight. I take pleasure in it; I meditate on it day and night. My profiting appears to all as I esteem the Word above every situation and voice around me. For all my blessings are found in Your Word. I refuse to lose the pleasure I have in God’s word in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen !
