SHALOM greetings to you, Cherished one. The Bible is not a sugarcoated book to brainwash your mind. It’s not a manly scheme to deceive anyone. Sometimes, due to the simplicity of the gospel, some people see the Bible as a book of flattery. The gospel is simple but it carries an eternal weight of glory. To us who believe, it is the real truth of God, not flattery words. Beloved, Christianity is the most honoured place to be. In Christ, we don’t play with words; we release words which are true, meaningful, purposeful and are based on the integrity of God.
The Apostle makes it clear in our focal text that our life is not lived on flattery words. Flattery words are words which are often insincere and sometimes contrived to win favour. Most times people who use flattery words are liars inwardly. The gospel is true. The word of God is true, we are not trying to “concoct” words to win the favour of anyone or credentials. For instance, when Nicodemus encountered Jesus, He didn’t speak words of flattery to Him. Rather, He spoke the sincerity of God’s word (John 3:1ff).
As a matter of truth, one way to determine a genuine person is that he doesn’t use words of flattery. He means what He says and says what he means. Cherished one, when we declare who we are and what we have in Christ, we are not relying on words of flattery but the truth which emanates from the will of God. The blessing of God is real. The miracles are real. God’s power is still working as He did in Bible days. There are not words of flattery. Minister or servant of God, it is your duty to be diligent to study God’s word and deliver it in sincerity, power and accuracy, not with flattery speech. (2 Timothy 2:15) The rich grace of our Lord Jesus Christ is with you always.
PRAYER
The Only Wise Father, I thank You for the privilege to enjoy genuine words of truth, peace, prosperity and love from Your throne room. I have not believed in cunningly devised fables but the true undiluted word of God which lives and abides forever. I am enjoying the benefits of heeding to the genuine and sincerity word of God and ignoring flattery in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen !
