24/7 DOXA Content 2019 WEDNESDAY, 25th December-THE BELOVED SON OF GOD

GLORIOUS greetings Cherished one. The birth of Jesus Christ was a fulfillment of a long-awaited prophecy. Identifying the prophesied Messiah was not a cool deal for just any mortal man. *It took divine revelation to recognize Him as the Messiah.* For instance, John the Baptist testified of Jesus as the Messiah by the revelation of the Spirit. He said _”I did not know Him, but He who sent me to baptize with water said to me, ‘Upon whom you see the Spirit descending, and remaining on Him, this is He who baptizes with the Holy Spirit. And I have seen and testified that this is the Son of God.” (John 1:33,34).

Papa God Himself testified of the Son and called Him “My Beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased”. Beloved Son means dear, favourite or highly esteemed Son worthy of the Father’s love. This means that the Father loved and cherished the Son. Also, by given us Jesus, the Father gave us His ever perfect and precious gift, not just a common gift. He gave us what He loved and pleased.* This revelation set the tone as to why you ought to believe in Jesus if you have not done so.

“Well pleased” as used here means well-chosen, approved or preferred. Hallelujah! The Father has set His seal upon the Son that whosoever believes in Him should have eternal life (John 3:16). Eternal life is exclusive to Jesus Christ and no other (Acts 4:12).* Back in the Old Testament, it was said Abraham was a friend of God; Moses was the meekest man on earth in his time; David was a man after God’s own heart. But none was well pleased or approved to save mankind from their sins. Cherished one, believe in the One who is well-loved and approved of the Father in order to enjoy a fulfilling glorious life. The rich grace of our Lord Jesus Christ abounds towards you always.

PRAYER
Lovely Father, I thank You for loving me with an everlasting love. You gave me the perfect and best gift ever. I therefore love and cherish Your Son and the eternal life that I have through Him. I am on the right course believing in the dearly beloved and well pleased Son. Hallelujah !
