ONE attack the devil throws on many believers is found in the area of finances. Many people are okay when much money is spent on sports. They don’t really bother when the government spends huge sums of money on schools, health projects, jobs or arts and entertainment. It doesn’t tickle them when their money is supporting their favourite club teams. However, when you raise the subject of money relating to the Kingdom or Church business or even the pastor, some folks bow their heads and criticise as if it is a sin to talk about money. This strategy hails from the devil.
There are a lot of teachings out there on money which is influenced by the devil so that people won’t give in the Church. *The devil knows that when the Church has super-abundance of money the Church will become too powerful in the world to stop his moving agenda.* So some of his strategies against your finances are: _”tithe is no more valid in the New Testament; Don’t give your money to the Church or pastor; God makes you poor to teach you a lesson”_ and the likes. *Cherished one, as a New Creation, you must deliberately refuse to accept these liars.*
Paying your tithes and offering is still valid in our time. There’s a blessing in giving to men of God; God doesn’t make you poor to teach you any lesson.Giving is one of the surest ways to be prosperous as a believer. Be ruled by this mindset that everything you have including your money belongs to God. Make sure certain portion of your money or income goes to the Church. Giving is to your advantage; for givers never lack. You must always outsmart the devil concerning your finances. The rich grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.
PRAYER
Dear Wealthy Father, I thank You for making me wise through Your Word. I refuse to believe the lies of the devil concerning finances. I graciously choose to be a giver to sponsor the gospel and the activities of the Church to God’s glory. Every strategy of the devil about my finances, I outsmart in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen !
