JOYFUL greetings to you, Cherished one. Have you ever asked why during “some altar calls” people are allowed to close their eyes for those who want to take Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour to come to the front or platform? I strongly believe that they do this with a good intention. However, the Holy Scriptures proves something different. *Anyone who wants to receive Jesus Christ should be publicly noticed with joy that salvation is coming to his house.* It isn’t a shameful or secret thing that should be covered.
The fact that someone feels shy to be noticed as believing in Jesus is a sign that the person is not ready to embrace the Saviour. Receiving Jesus is embracing the glorious eternal life, peace and joy unspeakable. Should you be ashamed receiving something so good and helpful? Receiving Him is the most beautiful and wisest decision to ever make on this earth. Whenever a sinner repents, it doesn’t only bring joy to the person, it also causes joy in Heaven (Luke 15:7). Yes, there is so much joy that surrounds the Name Jesus Christ. Even during His birth, the wise men who visited Jesus were greatly joyful (Mat 2:10).
If people who heard about Jesus were joyful, how much more those who have received Him? You should be joyful that the Saviour is in your life. No situation or challenge should take this joy away. In the early Church, they even rejoiced that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for the Name Jesus (Act 5:41). If you are not born again, this is the right time to receive Jesus with joy unspeakable because salvation has come to your house. If you have, then serve Him with joy despite any situations or challenges. For the joy of the Lord inspires more strength to serve Him. The rich grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.
PRAYER
Precious Lord Jesus Christ, I thank You for the unspeakable joy that comes from receiving You. I am not ashamed to have You as my Lord and Personal Saviour. I am proclaiming the joy in You to the Nations. Hallelujah_
