BLISSFUL greetings to you, Cherished one. Glory to the Lord for His daily words of transformation through this Devotional coach. One beauty of the Holy Bible is that it teaches us all-round wisdom for living with our neighbour. It is the best book for healthy relationships at all levels. It addresses how to love and care for one another. It also tackles and talks against covetousness, greed, selfishness and self-centeredness. And our focal text is one of the powerful verses that inspire a life of caring for others. Remember, the Bible is weaponry that fights against any popular opinion that contradicts God’s word.
There is this popular saying “God for us all, each one for himself.” Another selfish talk is “me, myself and I”. To the natural or carnal person, these quotes or sayings may be perfect and full of wisdom but they don’t completely reveal God’s love nature. So permit the word of God to reframe these for you. And our focal text does it best “God for us all, each one for himself and one another.” Don’t only live for yourself, live for others too. In Christ, there is a need to help one another. So don’t only have a concern or interest only for yourself; But also for others especially those in the household of faith, thus your Christian brother or sister.
You shouldn’t keep quiet on their needs or interest if it’s within your power. It’s good to care for the common good of all. Galatians 6:2 says “Carry one another’s burdens, and in this way, you will fulfill the law of Christ.” This implies that there is a burden that you cannot carry alone. You need others to help you carry. When you do that you are fulfilling the law of Christ. The law of Christ is the law of love that says love God and your neighbour. Minding your own business doesn’t mean be selfish or self-centred. It doesn’t mean don’t consider or care about others interest. Beloved, do good to others. Be kind to them. Help and support in any way you can. By so doing, you are expressing the love of God to them. The rich grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.
PRAYER
Lovely Father, I thank You for renewing my mind with Your unfailing Word. I thank You for the grace to show concern in other people’s interest. I humbly submit to You to use me as a solution to the needs, concerns and interest of others. I ask and receive the heart and strength to do this by Your love in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen!
