24/7 DOXA Content 2019 THURSDAY, 12th December-OVERCOMING IMPATIENCE

TREASURED greetings, Cherished one. One great virtue that moves with faith is patience. It was through faith and patience that the elders obtained the promises (Hebrews 6:12). We are living in a fast-paced world where people operate on quick schemes; Many want everything fast and quick. *And the devil has designed so many “get rich or make it schemes” just to serve as baits to those who refuse to be patient in life.* In life, you need to understand the work of patience in contributing to success.

The word “patience” is sometimes translated as “endurance”. And it means steadfastly remaining under for support. It also refers to the ability to walk in sustaining perseverance. *Patience is what tells you not to give up or in. Yes, it is the ability to hold on and not lose your confidence in God and His ability.* It is the ability to endure or wait on the promises of God in faith and hope without wavering or doubting. Patience is the ability to stay and still trust in God despite the challenges. It is when you don’t scheme out your own plans to contradict God’s.

James says _”Knowing this, that the trying of your faith works patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing (James 1:3-4)._ Therefore, you have to fight impatience. Impatience is sometimes driven by unhealthy competition with others. Impatience is what made Sarah give Hagar to Abraham; which led to the birth of Ishmael. *You must be patient and trust in the promises of God. Stay resolute and be unmoved.* For if you do not give up, in due season, you will reap the rewards of your patience. The rich grace of our Lord Jesus Christ abounds towards you always.

PRAYER
_Glorious Perfect Father, I have put all my self in You. My spirit, soul and body depend on You for survival and meaning in life. I refuse to engage in unhealthy competitions. I receive the grace to be patient in Your word. I graciously endure and persist for the manifestation of Your promises in my life in Jesus Blessed Name. Amen!_
