JOYOUS greetings to you, Cherished one. We learned yesterday that the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all people. Thus, God by His love and mercy has brought His grace for salvation to all without any sort of discrimination. Therefore, reach out and receive this grace in order to enjoy the benefits thereof. Today, we continue with the next verse which says “…teaching us…” *So the grace of God that brings salvation is a teacher. Yes, God’s grace teaches you the right things to know, have and do.*
The same way the law of Moses taught the people, the grace that comes through Jesus Christ teaches us a different way of life. *It’s better to be taught by the grace of God than to subject your life under the tutelage or traditions of men.* The Greek word for “teaching” in our focal text is *paideuō.* It means _to train, educate instruct and discipline._ As a New Creation in Christ, it’s a great blessing to be trained, instructed, educated and disciplined by the grace of God. *When the grace of God is in charge of your life, it trains and disciplines you in the order and pattern of the life of Jesus Christ, who is the BEST Example ever and the author and finisher of our faith.* (Hebrews 1:2,3/12:2/ Ephesians 5:1)
God’s grace presents Jesus Christ to you as the perfect model to imitate and emulate in all your ways. This grace will train and discipline you to walk, talk, think and act like Jesus. You can’t be saved by this grace and still live as one in the Old Testament. Beloved, you are NOT an old covenant believer. You belong to a New and BETTER COVENANT sealed with the precious blood of Jesus Christ (Hebrews 12:24/13:20). Allow the grace of God to lead you to pattern your life after Christ Jesus. He is the ultimate model for a glorious life. Yes, the grace of God moulds us to be Jesus centred (relationship) than formula centred (works). The rich grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.
PRAYER
Thank You Gracious Father for Your benevolent grace which is able to train, educate, instruct and discipline me after the likeness of the life in Christ Jesus. Jesus is my perfect model, the author and finisher of my faith. I refuse to allow the traditions and rudiments of this world dictate for me. I humbly submit to the training and discipline of Your grace to be moulded as You desire in Jesus Gracious Name. Amen!
