GLORIOUS greetings to you, Cherished one. Serving involves offering the whole of your life to a person or a worthy course to execute the commands of such. Jesus has established the fact that whoever wants to be great should serve. Serving is not always pleasant because it comes with a lot of responsibilities. However, you can’t swerve it to progress in life. The first “object” to render your worship or service to is God. In the Old Testament, God told Pharoah: _“Let my people go, that they may serve me_ (Exodus 9:1). In other words, give let them have the liberty to serve only me. Because they were being forced to serve or worship idols and other Egyptian gods.
*Serving God is when you have fully dedicated your entire spirit, soul and body to Him.* This starts when you believe in Jesus Christ and absolutely live for Him. It was said in the Old Testament that we shouldn’t serve any other gods except Papa God, the Creator of heaven and earth (Exodus 20:3). Jesus said no one can serve God and mammon (Matthew 6:24). Thus, you should never give your lifetime, strength and dedication to the spirit of mammon but only God. Only Him deserves your worship.
Never bow before any idol or graven image or creature as your god. Don’t serve any material thing or the pleasures in the world; Refuse to serve money or any strange spirit. Because it is written ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and you shall serve Him only.’ (Matthew 4:10 ). Joshua persuasively puts it this way: ” but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD (Joshua 24:15b). Cherished one, the best decision to make in this life is to SERVE the LORD all the days of your life. The rich grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.
PRAYER
Blessed and worthy Father, You alone deserve my worship and service. There is no other except You. I have no other except You. I choose to serve You with my spirit, soul and body and everything I am and have. You alone have the words of eternal life, peace and joy. I receive more grace to serve You well in Jesus Precious Name. Amen !
