24/7 DOXA Content 2019 SATURDAY, 28th September-ABOUND IN THE WORK OF THE LORD

SHALOM greetings to you, Cherished one. Yesterday, we were admonished to be steadfast and immovable in the victory Christ gave us over sin and death. Today, our focal text unveils that while we remain steadfast and immovable, we should also abound in the work of the Lord. Thus, we should increase, excel and be outstanding in the work of the Lord. To abound also implies to be more and more in the practice of the work. The work involves the work of the ministry which God has called us into as ministers of reconciliation (2 Corinthians 5:18).

The work of the Lord is the business of the Lord where we tell others to believe in the only begotten Son of God as the Saviour of the world (John 6:29). Yes, it is making Jesus known to our world of contact. Any area you have been called by the Lord, abound and work diligently. Don’t relent. The epistles say we are workers together with God and ambassadors of Christ (2 Corinthians 6:1; 5:20); Therefore we are to do what Christ would have done if He was on earth here. Let us increase and be fruitful in the work of the Lord.

Beloved, as a new creation, never relent or give excuses to serve or work for the Lord. God is counting on us to preach the gospel to the nations. Also, contribute in any way you can, whether financially, materially, spiritually to make sure the work of the Lord is prospering. Jesus didn’t finish spreading the gospel, so He commanded us to continue to preach to all nations (Mark 16:15/ Matthew 28:18,19). You don’t need any title or accolades to abound in the work of the Lord. The Holy Spirit is your greatest and trusted Partner to help you abound in the work of the Lord. The rich grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.

PRAYER
Precious Father, I thank You for showing me so much grace and mercy. Thank You for counting me worthy by Your mercy to partake in this divine task of working for You. I am subject to Your Holy Spirit for constant empowerment to increase more and more in Your work in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen!
