Gracious greetings to you, Cherished one. Yesterday, we learned about the self-discipline to greatness. Every higher level of success requires a higher level of self-discipline. One dimension of being self-disciplined is refusing to quit. To quit means to abandon, renounce or stop pursuing a worthy course. There is a popular saying that ” quitters never win and winners never quit.” No one had an encounter with God and quit on the way to be rewarded. This has been one of the topmost secrets of great people. They refuse to quit from the worthy course no matter the challenges they face.
When you quit you’ll lose. A time came that Abraham was complaining of not having a rightful heir; God told gave him an inner picture to make him stay on course. Beloved, when it seems your heart desires are not met, refuse to quit. Keep on believing. Keep on trusting the integrity of God’s word. When the prophecies, visions and dreams you saw do not tally with the current situation, refuse to quit. Stay on that worthy course. As our focal text unveils, when you quit, you are not fit for any prize. For prizes are given to winners, not quitters.
Refusing to quit is the secret to learning to get to the top. Because when you quit, you deny yourself the opportunity to move to the next and higher level. Beloved, great people always make the decision to never quit no matter how hard it may seem. They take the risk and dare to pursue their dreams to actualization. Refuse to quit; rather persevere and keep on learning.* The rich grace of our Lord Jesus Christ is with you always.
PRAYER
_Precious Gracious Father, I thank You for the ability to stay with You and never quit on the way. I receive in higher capacity the energy to press on despising the challenges and shames of life. With You, my future is fully secured in glory, peace and successful end in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen!_
