SHALOM greetings to you, Cherished one. The nature of the Christian life is such that it’s lived from the spirit, not the carnal. It is not a common force which agrees with the standards of this world. Due to this reason, whoever believes, stands and proclaims the Name Jesus Christ shall face reproach or persecutions. The Apostle calls it sharing in the suffering of Christ. Jesus made it clear that people would hate or persecute us for His Name’s sake. However, our opening text states that whenever we are experiencing reproach or insults and persecution for the sake of Christ, then we are blessed; because the Spirit of glory rests upon us. Hallelujah!
We are not in shame but in the glory. We are not the shamed but the glorified ones. Beloved, when we partake of Christ’s suffering, it means we shall also partake of His triumph and glory on the last day (1 Peter 4:13). If you haven’t gone to the point where you are persecuted and hated for your belief in Christ then expect it sooner than you think. Because no true Christian will live without being persecuted. People will tag you, ignore, mock and call you all sort of funny names because of Christ. Others will think you’re taking Jesus too serious.
There are several people who are being ostracized by their family, friends and loved ones because they believed in Jesus Christ.Yet, in all these things, we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. And the Spirit of glory resting upon you makes you stand strong in this reproaching time. The Spirit was sent for your empowerment, boldness and fearless confidence to face persecutions. *Cherished one, never allow anyone to make you regret serving the LORD. If you keep on and hold on to the end, you’ll receive a great and glorious crown from the Master.* The rich grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.
PRAYER
Blessed Glorious Father, thank You for calling me into Your Kingdom. I thank You for counting me worthy to face reproach for Your Name’s sake. But for Your Spirit of glory resting on me, I am blessed and glorified to stand strong even in the midst of persecutions. By so doing, many are being drawn into Your Kingdom in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen!
