FRUITFUL greetings to you Cherished one. The Creator of the heavens and the earth has set universal laws in motion. One’s knowledge, understanding and right application of these laws will set the person on a high pedestal in life. From Genesis, God determined and told mankind to dominate and take charge of all that He has created (Genesis 1:26-28). *When God told man to dominate, He was telling man to INFLUENCE the earth.* In this life, it is either you are the influencer or the influenced. People and systems can be influenced either positively or negatively.
But God expects His children to influence the world positively. To influence means to have an effect on someone or something. You can have a positive effect on others using your creative ability, skills, wisdom, gifts talents or office. Your ability to influence positively stems from your identity. Jesus said, “A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things.” (Matthew 12:35). What good treasures do you find in you to influence your world positively? The world is already corrupt and darkened.
The world needs more incorrupt minds to mend things. The world needs more lights to brighten its course. In our focal text, the people felt the influence of the disciples who have been turning the world “upside-down”. To the Jews, the disciples were bringing disorder. But they were truly influencing their world for Jesus as King (Acts 17:7). What kind of influence are you in your house, office, workplace, vicinity, church, marriage, community? A positive influencer or negative? What positive things are you bringing on board to help the progress of others? As a born again in Christ, you are the light of the world. Darkness should not influnce you. Choose to be a positive influencer in the midst of a crooked generation. The rich grace of our Lord Jesus Christ abounds towards you always.
PRAYER
Precious lovely Father, I thank You for the revelation of Your word which inspires and ignites passion unto good works. You have made me the light of the world. Therefore, I accept and graciously choose to positively influence my world of contact. I dominate any bad influence even as I excel and reign in life in Jesus Blessed Name! Amen !
