A Blessed greetings to you, Cherished one. Glory to God for a new week. WORK is not a curse, it’s a blessing. It’s one of the channels God uses to bless His children. Work is considered by some people as a form of punishment or burden after the fall of Adam and Eve. But that’s not true. Before the fall, Papa God had already initiated work. He told Adam and Eve to dress the garden and keep it (Gen 2:15). They were not put there to be idle and lazy about. Many do not love to work especially when they’re working for others or when the salary is not fat enough.
What you need to understand is that you must first ENJOY your work; don’t hate it. When you enjoy your work, going to work on Mondays wouldn’t seem like a burden to you. The days of the week wouldn’t even be the basis of enjoying your work; With this mindset, you can thank God it’s Monday too, not only on Fridays. Work is God’s purpose for everyone. I know work sometimes becomes stressful, but as a child of God, you must have a work mindset. Some folks love titles and status without work. Our focal text admonishes us to labour, working with our own hands.
Get your hands busy on something worthwhile and work it. Apostle Paul sent a command to some folks in Thessalonica saying _”For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies. Now them that are such we COMMAND and EXHORT by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread”_ (2 Thess 3:11-12). As you walk with a work mindset, God will reward your hand and mind. If you are an employee, refuse to learn negative attitudes towards work from others. Get to work and be actively working. The rich grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.
PRAYER
Precious Father, I thank You for the joy that comes from the work You have given me. I refuse to be idle or lazy about. For Your word commands me to work with my own hands something good. Therefore, as I act on Your word concerning work, I thank You for granting me greater ability, energy, creativity and joy to work unto Your glory. I prosper in the work of my hands in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen !
