SOMETIMES when you turn on your television and see what’s happening in the secular world, you may be tempted to think that everyone is living a wrong lifestyle except you. When you listen to the radio, visit the internet, you might mistakenly think all people are the same doing the wrong things everywhere. Other times too, you might think you and your friends or family are the only righteous people left on earth. Many people have been caught in this web of thinking. However, the fact that an attitude or lifestyle or clique is popular doesn’t mean everyone is doing it.
Prophet Elijah came to a point in his life when he thought he was the only righteous prophet left in Israel. He answered God “I’ve been very zealous for the LORD God of the Heavenly Armies,”. “The Israelis have abandoned your covenant, demolished your altars, executed your prophets with swords, and I—that’s right, just me!—am the only one left. Now they’re seeking my life, to get rid of me!” But God replied and refuted his statement by saying” Nevertheless, I’ve reserved 7,000 in Israel who have neither bowed their knees to Baal nor kissed him.”-(I Kings 19:14,18).
Beloved, as good and great as you are, you are still not the only righteous pastor, prophet, evangelist, teacher, apostle, doctor, lawyer, nurse, politician, or Christian left in this crooked generation. There are many others who are living holy and strong by the grace given them; Yes, there are many who are still standing for God despite the numerous challenges, without compromising on their faith. There are people reserved by God who are not talking, thinking and doing the worldly stuff. It is very true that God always leaves Himself a witness. Righteous men and women are not scarce in our generation. They are many preserved by His grace. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.
PRAYER
Dear Father, thank You for preserving me by Your grace to live for You in this time and season. Thank You for working in me to will and do of Your good pleasure. It’s not by my strength or power. I receive much grace and stability to serve only You and influence my world with Your kind of life in the Mighty of Name of Jesus. Amen !
