INCREASING STRENGTH Pt. 1

Proverbs 24 vs
»»5.¶A wise man is strong; yea, a man of knowledge increases strength. -[KJV] «« ||

PEOPLE are ready to celebrate your strengths or successes and not necessarily your weakness. If you win in a battle, you are treated differently than when you lose. For instance, a team which fails to qualify to the next stage of the world cup is not likely to be treated well and welcome home with joy. Those teams usually face intense criticism from laymen and even professionals in the nation. Thus, in this life, winners and losers are not treated the same way.

Beloved, then stop boasting and talking about your weakness or failures to everyone around you. Because there is so much strength available in Christ. Just lay hold of it by faith. You have a lot of better ‘stuff’ deposited in you. Apostle Paul says _’…when I am weak, then I am strong for Christ’s sake” ( 2 Cor 12:10)_. Again, Isaiah 40:29 states _”He gives power to the faint; and to them that have no might He increases strength”._ You may be faint or weak in certain area of your life (it maybe in your attitude, character etc) but God says He gives you power to overcome it.

God doesn’t glory in your weakness. If you lack strength in any area, God increases strength. As a good father rejoices in the wellbeing of His children, so God rejoices in your strength. Now, how do you increase strength? You do it by engaging yourself in the ”gym of knowledge. *This is where your mind is being renewed and empowered by God’s Word.* The Bible says ”… a man of knowledge increases strength (Prov 24:5b). You will perish in your weakness without Godly knowledge (Hosea 4:6). Cherished one, knowledge empowers and it’s a necessity to increasing strength. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.

PRAYER
Cherished Father, I rejoice today in Your word. For it has the strength in it to take care of all manner of weaknesses. I am made strong in You and in the power of Your might. In Your strength I draw my strengths. I choose to focus and concentrate on the good and better ‘stuffs’ deposited in me by Your Spirit and decide to build up on them today. Thank You for the grace and strength available to do this in the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen !
