Hebrews 1 vs
9》 You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness. So God, your God, has anointed you over your companions with the oil of rejoicing.”~《KJV》
THE holy scriptures prove that Christ hated iniquity. Iniquity means lawlessness, wickedness or injustice. Thus, He didn’t behave as if he wasn’t bound by any law. He was constrained by the will, love and laws of the Father. He testified Himself “He who sent me is with me. The Father hasn’t left me alone, for I ALWAYS DO the things that are PLEASING to HIM.”(John 8:29)._ Jesus did what pleased the Father, not Himself. In other words, He subjected His will, ways, emotions, mindset, thoughts and words under the pleasures of the Father.
Beloved, Jesus as a man wasn’t insulated against temptations, test or trials. In other words, temptation didn’t run away from Him automatically. He had to face and overcome them. “For we don’t have a high priest who can’t be touched with the feeling of our infirmities, but one who has been in ALL points tempted like we are, yet without sin.” (Heb 4:15). Because HE HATED iniquity or sinning. To hate here implies to pursue with intense hatred, detest or abhorring it, not welcoming or entertaining something with pleasure.
Jesus was tempted in all ways. But He endured and triumphed to show us that we can live on this earth and hate and overcome lawlessness. Even though you may fall short when tempted, you still have the power to hate lawlessness because seed of God is in you. Apostle John enjoined _”Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him (1 John 2:15). The SPIRIT of God, our helper is with us to overcome all sort of lawlessness as we rely on His power. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.
Father of All righteousness and holiness, I thank You for the revelation and strength that come from Your word. As Jesus is so I am in this world. So I embrace the Holy Spirit, my all in all helper to live like Christ. Thank You for the ability to love what You love and hate whatever You hate in Jesus Name. Amen!
