BLESSED greetings, Cherished one. There are two ways to perceive things since we live in the natural and spiritual realms. The physical world is mostly lived by the senses and the spirit realm is mostly influenced by the faith sense. The sense realm calculates everything based on what you see, hear, feel, touch, smell and think. For instance, you don’t need spiritual senses before you take your bath or eat your food.

However, God’s word, history and godly experiences have shown us that it is very dangerous to live only by your five senses. To live by your senses is what our focal text calls “conferring with flesh and blood”. Remember, God is not against the use of your senses in a positive way because He gave them to you, but the human senses have its limitation. And that is, it cannot accept the deep things of God, but faith accepts them.

Note, in the matters of salvation and all that relates to the finished works of Christ, it is only by faith, but when it comes to matters of life and situations, you apply both the sense and faith. Paul made a decision by faith to respond to the call of God than the Pharisees. There is a place for the senses and a good place for faith. Allow God’s word to guide you into balance. The rich grace of our Lord Jesus Christ abounds towards you always.

PRAYER
Gracious Father, I thank You for the wisdom in Your word which teaches and guides me in all my ways. By the guidance of the Holy Spirit, I know when to apply the sense and where to apply faith. Your wisdom sets me far above any limitations in Jesus Blessed Name. Amen!
