24/7 DOXA Content, 13th November-GIVE HEED TO EXHORTATION

1 Timothy 4 vs

AFTER the Spirit through Apostle Paul admonished the young man to give attendance to reading, he continued to exhortation. One of the vital keys in life is to heed to exhortation. _Exhortation involves admonition, encouragement, consolation, comfort or solace; thus, something which affords uplifting or refreshment -(not condemnation or discouragement). One thing I’ve learnt from the scriptures is that God never discourages anyone who is on a godly course.

Also, God never gave or called anyone to the ministry or “office of condemnation or intimidation”. People of today go through a lot. Their challenges may differ from that of the previous centuries; so they really need exhortation from all angles to always ignite them to progress. The Spirit is telling the kingdom citizens to give attendance to exhortation.

You can exhort others and also receive same from others. Exhort all manner of people; the rich, poor, weak, strong, wise, unwise, married, single etc (1 Thess 5:14). Whoever is not willing to encourage you in this life is not worth your precious time. The same way, anyone you are not willing to exhort, don’t discourage either. It’s better to remain silent than to be discouraging other people. Keep attendance to exhortation because it’s God’s way of lifting up people to fulfill His assignment for them. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.

PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank You for the Holy Spirit sent to help me in my Christian journey. I avail myself to quality reading and exhortation which have the capacity to build me up at all times. I choose to be invigorated, encouraged and comforted by Your word and Spirit in Jesus Name. Amen!
