24/7 DOXA Content, 13th March-BEWARE OF VAIN DECEIT

BLISSFUL greetings, Cherished one. The life we have in Christ is lived with carefulness, not in carelessness. That is why we have a lot of cautionary notes from Genesis to revelation. *These are not to put fear in us or show us how vulnerable we are, but they are given in order to instill a life of discipline and soberness against the devices of the enemy.* We were admonished yesterday to beware of human philosophy, wisdom and intellectualism.
Today, we are being told to beware of vain deceit. Vain deceit simply means empty seduction or a deceitful trick having no content. Thus, that which is vain and empty, and has no solid foundation. These when applied to divine things and spiritual truths are deceitful and delusory. In other words, compared to the gospel of Christ such ideas, opinions or theories are idle fancies and plain nonsense.
For instance, there were sects which never believe in the resurrection of the dead in 1 Corinthians 15:12; Comparing this opinion with the gospel of Christ, it is simply a vain deception with no truth in it. Beloved, it is your gracious duty not allow anyone to rob you with vain deceit by becoming an ardent student of God’s word with the lens of the Holy Spirit. The rich grace of our Lord Jesus Christ abounds towards you always.

I DECLARE
Jesus is the only way, the only truth and the only life. His gospel is the only power unto salvation to those who believe. I yield my life to Jesus and His truths in the gospel. Therefore, I refuse any vain deceit. I tread upon idles fancies and plain nonsense with the truths of God’s word. Hallelujah!
