BLESSED greetings, Cherished one. The presence of temptation is not sin but when you yield to it. Our focal text admonishes that “be angry, and sin not”. In other words, anger will present itself, but don’t succumb its power. It is only when you succumb to a seed that you bear its fruits. Almost everyone has become angry at someone or something before. However, it is expedient you don’t use anger to fuel revenge and conflicts.
In your moment of anger, you may be tempted to sin through your words, thoughts and actions. The Bible says he who bridle his tongue will have peace. Therefore in times of anger, do well to control your tongue and words. As a child of God, you don’t throw out insults on those who offend you as if you are the devil’s associate. Your words must be seasoned with salt, not pepper.
Proverbs 18:6 says “A fool’s lips enter into contention, and his mouth calls for strokes.” So be very mindful of your words when you are angry. It is mostly advisable to remain silent in such times; because, anger can fuel your words to call for contention, violence, strife or strokes. Don’t forget God’s word in moment of anger. Beloved, you can conquer anger; Do not let it conquer you. The rich grace of our Lord Jesus Christ abounds towards you always. Amen!

PRAYER
Lovely Father, I thank You for Your love that is shed abroad in my heart to deal with anger at different moments. I refuse to allow anger control me. Rather, I dominate anger by the power of the Spirit. I stay with people in love and peace in Jesus’ Mighty Name. Amen!
