24/7 DOXA Content, 12th July-JESUS’ COMING SHOULD NOT OVERTAKE YOU

IN ACTS 1:11, two angels testified vividly of the second coming of Christ saying “…Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, who is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as you have seen him go into heaven”. Jesus came the first time and was crucified, died, rose and ascended to heaven. He will come back for His chaste Church. *And those who believed His first coming cannot doubt His second coming.* Yes, Jesus Christ will come again. However, the exact season, hour and time is not stated in the scriptures.

Because of this, His second coming is often compared to the way a thief or robber comes. A thief does not announce a specific time prior his coming. He comes any time he wishes. Thus, the time schedule of a thief does not have any link with the duration of the landlord. *However, there is a group of people who are not expecting Jesus’ coming the way a thief comes. This group are watchful, sober Children of the Light. *Thus, they are ever ready within any time frame scheduled in the calendar of Almighty God. Our focal text clearly says “But you, brethren, are NOT in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief” (1 Thess 5:4).

Henceforth, to those who are in darkness, His coming will be to them the way a thief comes; but those in the light He is coming as their glorious Lord. Anyone who thinks Jesus is coming the way a thief comes may definitely miss Him, because a thief normally gets hold of the unprepared ones (Matthew 24:23). Therefore, Cherished one, within all the busy schedules and activities, keep it in your heart and mind that Jesus is coming as your Master and Lord and you are ready at anytime. Be watchful; Don’t let that Day overtake you as a thief. For we are here on a temporal journey. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.

PRAYER
DEAR Faithful Father, thank You for preparing a place for me. I can boldly tell the world that in my Fathers house are many mansions in which I have a share. You are my helper, my strength; Therefore I trust and lean on You to direct my paths always being watchful, sober waiting for my Lord and Master Jesus. Heaven is my home and I will never miss it in Jesus’ Name. Amen!
