Romans 6 vs
1,2》》” What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?”》》KJV》
WHEN the purpose of a thing is not known abuse is definitely inevitable. In Christ Jesus, everything is given and received for a purpose. For Romans 8:28 affirms that every saint is called according to the purpose of God (not your own purpose). If we are called according to God’s purpose then it means everything we have by virtue of being in Christ is for a glorious purpose. Grace, the aura or supernatural influence or fragrance of God is given to the saints for a godly purpose.
Romans 5:17 explicitly says that those in Christ have received abundance of grace (meaning grace is not scarce; Yea, grace is not limited in supply to the saints). However, it’s expedient we know the essence of this grace we have received from our Lord Jesus Christ and put it to the right use. Therefore, our focal text asks a question and answers itself _”Shall we continue in sin that grace must abound ? Certainly No!_ Hallelujah ! This implies that grace is not what helps you in wrongdoing. *Yes, grace is not a counterpart of evil or sin.*
Grace doesn’t participate in evil doing. This is because we who are dead to sin cannot live in it again. The devil is the author of sin. Therefore, you need to take advantage of the grace of God. To take advantage of grace means _”to profit from grace or make use of grace”._ *Thus, you absolutely rely on it as grace empowers you for godliness. It also empowers you to enjoy the treasures in God.* There is so much profit to draw from the life of grace. The rich grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always
_It is by the grace of God that I am what I am and His grace lavished on me is not in vain. I take advantage of this grace. I do not frustrate the grace of God. I am empowered and made better by grace. My thinking, attitude, words and action are seasoned with grace. Sin has no power over me anymore for I am under the influence of grace. The grace propels me unto godliness and greatness in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ. Amen !_
