SHALOM greetings, Cherished one. When Jesus personalized the word, the devil could not outsmart Him with his gimmicks. The Bible is a book containing the inspiration of God Almighty Himself. *However, it will not automatically work for your situations. It demands your conscious application to make it work for you.* Jesus unveils in our focal text that man shall not live by bread alone.
Bread (food) is symbolic of the basic needs of man for growth and survival. However, humanity is not designed to only live by basic necessities and ignore the word of God. *That is an imbalanced way of living and it is very detrimental to your existence.* The message translation simplifies _”It takes more than bread to stay alive. It takes a steady stream of words from God’s mouth.”_ Jesus said it is possible to live by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.
The Greek word used for “word” is “Rhema”. Rhema implies God’s specific word for a specific situation to a specific person for a specific time. You receive rhema when you spend time to prayerfully meditate on God’s word. *Beloved, when you receive rhema, keep holding unto it and apply it without delay till you see results.* Personalize the word as rhema because it contains life from the mouth of God. You command life into every situation the moment you choose to apply God’s word by faith. The rich grace of our Lord Jesus Christ abounds towards you always.

I DECLARE
_Your word is living, active and powerful to me. I put all my trust in Your word for total edification. I am alive by every word that proceeds from Your mouth. Everything that concerns my life comes alive by Your living word. I am having glorious results by the power of Your living word. Hallelujah!_
